⭐Research Opportunity for Parents of Autistic Young Adults⭐
Sharing for info-
We have been contacted by Charlotte Roche, Trainee Clinical Psychologist regarding a research project they are currently undertaking, which will be written up as a doctoral thesis report. The research project is a qualitative interview study, aiming to understand how parents of autistic young people experience the process of their child transitioning from Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) to Adult Mental Health Services (AMHS). Existing research highlights that autistic young adults are more likely to fall in the gap between CAMHS and AMHS, possibly contributing to increased caregiver burden for parents who may play a role in providing increased emotional support for their child when they are not offered therapeutic support.
For this study, Charlotte is hoping to recruit at least eight participants to take part in one remote interview lasting for approximately one hour.
This study has been granted ethical approval by Royal Holloway University.
If you have any further questions, Charlotte would be more than happy to provide additional information-
