Dorset PDA Statement

In May 2023, we were delighted to publish our joint Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) position statement which has been coproduced with practitioners from health, social care and the education sector.

The purpose of the statement is to make sure there are consistent messages and a shared understanding about PDA across both local authorities, schools, health, and the Parent Carer Forums; Dorset Parent Carer Council (DPCC) and Parent Carers Together (PCT) so that children and their families can be supported as best as possible.

The position statement is the result of really positive and productive interaction between all the people involved in the working group.

Parent Carers Together are very proud of Stacey Freeman, our own PCT representative,  for her fantastic input on this project.
